Glasses are catching on in São Paulo!
Good news for Brazil's largest city
Renovatio, the Brazilian partner of EinDollarBrille, was commissioned by the city government of São Paulo to offer a complete eye examination to all children in public schools.
The good news: We are improving the future prospects of an entire city. For EinDollarBrille and for Brazil, this project is unique in its scale.
The Renovation team achieved incredible results during the project period from November 2023 to May 2025:
✔️ Our teams were active in 567 public schools
✔️ Over 230,000 students were tested
✔️ More than 49,000 pairs of glasses were distributed
✔️ Over 54,000 children were able to receive further treatment
What makes this campaign unique?
Professionalism through experience: A high degree of professionalism and experience is required to carry out a campaign of this size efficiently.
State-of-the-art technology: In order to be able to carry out the large number of eye examinations quickly and safely, the latest technical equipment is used, such as artificial intelligence for evaluating funduscopies and the latest diagnostic technology for ophthalmic optics and ophthalmology.
A unique dimension: Never before have so many children in Brazil and even worldwide been examined by an ophthalmologist in a concerted campaign.
Many years of trust: Renovatio was selected by the city administration of São Paulo from among several NGOs for this task.
