The OneDollarGlasses idea has received several national and international awards for its technical precision, innovation and efficiency. Martin Aufmuth has also been recognized for his commitment to good eyesight.
Next Economy Award
In December 2017, Martin Aufmuth received the prestigious Next Economy Award for the OneDollarGlasses. The award was presented by former national team player Philipp Lahm. The award is presented by the German Sustainability Award Foundation together with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the German Council for Sustainable Development and the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce.
Bavarian State Medal
On June 23, 2017, Martin Aufmuth was awarded the Bavarian State Medal for Social Merit for his commitment to the OneDollarGlasses.
Hopkins Leadership Award 2016 from the Optical Society of America
In July 2016, the GoodVision was honored with the 2016 Robert E. Hopkins Leadership Award from the Optical Society of America (OSA). With more than 19,000 members in over 100 countries, the Optical Society is the leading association in the field of optics and photonics. This is the first time that the OneDollarGlasses have been recognized as groundbreaking from a scientific perspective.
The Tech Awards
In November 2015, the GoodVision won the prestigious Tech Award in the Economic Development category, sponsored by the Sobrato Organization. The award was presented in person by John Michael Sobrato, President of the Sobrato Organization, at a gala in San José (California, USA).
Empowering people. Award
The 1st prize of the Empowering people. Award of the Siemens Stiftung was presented to Martin Aufmuth in Nairobi in 2013. More than 800 organizations and individuals worldwide competed for the prize, which is endowed with 50,000 euros. The award recognizes technical innovations that contribute to sustainably improving the living conditions of people in developing countries.
