Martin Aufmuth honored with Bavarian State Medal

Martin Aufmuth receives the award from the Free State of Bavaria in 2017 for his outstanding social commitment. The EinDollarBrille association has been in existence for five years. The small one-man company has since grown into a global movement that provided more than 100,000 people with glasses in 2017.

On June 23, 2017, Martin Aufmuth was awarded the Bavarian State Medal at a ceremony at the Residenz in Munich. Minister Emilia Müller honored Martin Aufmuth on behalf of the Free State of Bavaria for his extraordinary social commitment to establishing basic optical care in developing countries. This was a very special moment for our team after only five years since EinDollarBrille association was founded.

When public figures give their attention to GoodVision, it is a valuable contribution to greater visibility and effectiveness. Actress Senta Berger also took the opportunity to test the OneDollarGlasses.

The Bavarian State Medal for Social Merit is awarded to people who have rendered outstanding services to the Free State of Bavaria and its citizens in social areas. This award was established in 1970 by the then Minister of State, Dr. Fritz Pirkl. Since then, it has been awarded annually to around 20 selected people.
